Note from Our President - February 2010

In the last year the Organizational Development Network of Long Island (ODNLI) has grown in both membership and complexity. In addition to timely and relevant monthly programs, scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month between September and June, we have scheduled our first annual ODNLI conference. The ODNLI is on the move!

we-10

Workplace Excellence 2010 (WE-10) is the title of our upcoming conference on April 8, 2010 at the Marriot Residence Inn in Plainview. This full-day event will feature outstanding presenters on employee engagement/alignment, talent pipeline/succession planning, retention strategies through an OD lens, and organizational sustainability strategies – planning and executing for longevity. The intent of our programs is to provide pure OD content that is valuable for all businesses and organizations that seek greater organizational effectiveness.

The programs have been designed to meet both the needs of your business and your personal and professional growth, so this is truly your conference.  In addition to the programs, the event includes full breakfast and lunch and a post-event networking reception with even more to eat and drink, while we socialize and spend time with each other.

You know the value of organizational development.  This conference will help elevate awareness and will ensure that ODNLI can take its place among Long Island’s valued organizations – with that recognition comes access to more services, more resources, and better programs for you.

We hope you can join us.  Details and registration can be found at  http://www.odnetworkli.org/events.html .  (An early-bird discount will be applied if you register prior to Monday, February 15.) This link also provides access for you to register for our February 9 program on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace and information on other monthly events through June 2010.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. We look forward to seeing you and your colleagues at the conference on April 8.

Sincerely,
Arnie Goldberg, President ODNLI
