Note from Our President - May 2010
As the “Interim” President of ODNLI, as well as a nominee for President 2010-2011, I wanted to let you know that the year ahead is going to be an exciting one. We will be bringing on a number of exceptionally talented people to the Board and our leadership committees.
We will be reaching out into the business community at large to bring CEO’s and senior management guests to our meetings who can benefit from our practices, training and programs.
We will work closely with other organizations, similar to our own, to offer unique programs and to cross pollinate and grow the community of dedicated practitioners committed to growing businesses in the face of adversity and challenge.
We will continue to build on our underlying theme from WE 2010 of “100% Pure OD” focusing on the systemic approach to aligning the inner-workings of an organization to its purpose and business strategy. Consider it the “Why we do, What we do and How we do it” coordination of business models to talent management, succession planning performance management, conflict resolution to diversity and leadership to intergenerational issues just to name a few...
In short, we will become the embodiment of Organization Development best practices and Workplace Excellence. We recognize that we are facing many challenges ahead. We will reach our goals but only if YOU get involved! Come to meetings. Put them in your calendar and make it a habit to be there. Join a committee or become part of our leadership. Please read the nomination listing and make sure you vote or offer to serve.
If you are not a member become a member… there is simply no better deal around. As a member, you will be welcome to attend our “second-Tuesday-of the month” evening meetings which includes networking, dinner and an interactive presentation that will keep you abreast of the latest trends in OD. You will be challenged intellectually and you will have the opportunity to learn with and from your peers. You will also be able to attend our Annual Workplace Excellence Conference at a significant discount.
