Columbia University Program, Principles and Practices of Organization Development
Dear Colleagues:
The Columbia University program, Principles and Practices of Organization Development (PPOD), has now had five successful public sessions under the leadership of Dick Axelrod and Barbara Bunker and one in-company presentation for the Walt Disney World OD group. We are also presenting a modified version of the program for the HR College of Novartis. The next public offering of this certificate program will be in October and November 2010.
We would again like to ask you to help us get the word out and find good people to enroll in this program.
UNIQUE STRENGTHS OF PPOD:
• Size of program means you get individual attention and coaching in a supportive
environment
• The work is with real cases and with real clients
• The program is built with increasing levels of depth conceptually and in practice
• Multiple frameworks for understanding groups and organizations are presented
• Time for personal/professional reflection and network building
• Internationally known and practicing faculty who are leading thinkers in OD
WHO SHOULD COME
Numbers of HR professionals who are moving into OD and folks with limited OD background have found it enormously useful in providing a conceptual orientation to the field as well as practicing the basic skills of contracting, diagnosing, collecting data, and process consultation to work groups. Even though it is a basic skills program, past participants have included people with Masters in Organization Development and consultants with a number of years of experience, who found the program’s emphasis on skill development excellent professional development.
We need your help because our data make it clear that people choose PPOD because of word of mouth recommendations. Thank you for reading this, looking over the brochure, and contacting someone who might benefit from attending.
If you would like to discuss this program with us please give us a call. We are also happy to talk about it with interested participants.
